First, let me state that
I have NO affiliation
with
SIG Manufacturing Co.
I do not have magical access to kits.
I do not have a store that sells kits.
I do not have access to, or sell kit parts.
I do not create kits.
I do have a website that shows
every kit SIG has ever put out.
You are seeing it now.
This website started as a personal project, primarily for my own enjoyment, as I have been a fan of SIG model airplanes since I was a teenager (many, many decades ago). I hope you enjoy seeing these classic designs as much as I do.
These pages contain much that I have found on-line concerning the production history of model airplane kits & ARFs from SIG Manufacturing Company, including kits from other
manufacturers that SIG presently
carries or has carried over years past.
As far as I know, this is the only complete listing of SIG kits & ARFs that exists, including within SIG Mfg Co.
ALL KITS ARE INCLUDED HERE, thanks to Sean Elliott of the EAA, who provided the info/photos on the last missing aircraft, the RC-10 Simco.
One of the newest additions to the website is my personal "database", my own full listing of aircraft information. It was originally done as a WP document, converted to pdf so it could be uploaded here. It's at the bottom of the "WP versions and database" page, contains 23 pages of information, and can be downloaded to your own computer.
All information has been obtained from MANY sources across the web, far too many for me to keep track of, but RC Groups, RC Universe, e-bay, Worthington auctions, the late (and greatly missed) Mike Gretz (R&D Chief, SIG) and the SIG Company, and many personal websites and individuals were the main sources. The SIG logo at the top of these pages appears here with the permission of Mike & SIG.
For most non-ARF kits, I've got original box art in addition to aircraft pics. A few have advertisement pics, some have plans - whatever I could find. Some even have currently operational aircraft pics. Most include original construction manuals in .pdf form, and many have complete specs in .jpg form.
Active kits shown in BLACK
Discontinued kits shown in RED
Never Released kits shown in GRAY
My most sincere THANKS go to the late Mike Gretz at SIG Mfg Co.
for providing the original basic listing.
